The dark scar of Pakistan’s history and Republic of Bharat! – Part 1
I was browsing Twitter one night before sleeping when I saw it was buzzing with tweets by jubilant Indians with the hashtag #ModiInBangladesh. They were happy as India sealed a historical ‘Land swapping’ deal with Bangladesh followed by many other agreements. The 36-hour long visit by Indian Premier Narendra Modi to Bangladesh was actually a pre planned ‘game’ to spread hatred against Pakistan. There he openly praised and confessed ‘Mukti Bahini’ and India’s role, where he also actively participated in the so-called liberation movement that lead to creation of Bangladesh in 1971.
With wicked smiles on their faces the two Prime Ministers exchanged the worst moment of Pakistan’s history, the enlarged image of the moment of surrender in 1971 where Pakistani General Abdullah Khan Niazi was signing the surrender treaty before Indian Army General Jagjit Singh Arora. That photo was a really painful moment for me, that was hashtagged as #BurnolMoment for Pakistan… and it is beyond my imagination how painful and worst it must be in reality when it actually happened, when Pakistan broke into two separate lands, West Pakistan as Pakistan and East Pakistan as Bangladesh in 1971… the dark scar of its history!
Coming to the point, about the duo it is well said by Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf:
“Yeh (Modi) Pakistan bashing kay lyay gae huay hain wahan(Bangladesh) jahan un ko aik buhat achi sathi mil gae hai, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, unfortunately. Yeh dono mil kar Pakistan Bashing kar rahay thay”
Since Modi came to power last year, tensions between India and Pakistan are on the rise and this is all due to the aggressive attitude and extremist ‘Hindu’ mentality of Prime Minister Modi and also of his ministers. The ill intentions of Modi Sarkar and his anti-Pakistan connotations can be best explained in words of Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf that he stated in various interviews.
When Modi came to power and invited Nawaz Sharif at his oath taking ceremony, he not only accepted it but also attended the ceremony, at this he said quite clearly:
“We should not act as his subjects as if he is some Viceroy or Prime Minister of ours. If we see the reality of Modi, quite clearly he is anti-Muslim & anti-Pakistan. There is no doubt in it.”
Emphasizing on the balance of power in the South Asian region especially about Pakistan, he gave strong message to Modi and India:
“He(Modi) should not be mistaken that he can do anything with us. He can’t do anything. So why are we treating him like a Viceroy. Leave him and let’s see what card he plays. We will see and then decide how to deal with him. We want to live peacefully, but with honour and dignity.”
In 2002, in India-Pakistan standoff, Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf made it clear to the Indians that Pakistan military is a force to be reckoned with. One night, from intelligence agencies, he received reports about India’s possible plan to launch a limited air attack in Pakistan, in Azad Kashmir. General Musharraf immediately responded by sending alert messages to Air Chief Late Mushaf Mir to open all air headquarters and air fields to launch a counter attack in th event of an attack by India, by selecting targets and striking back again in the morning. The attack never arrived. At this he said:
“Hum Pakistan aik taqat hain. 20 crore awaam hain yahan.Afwaj e Pakistan buhat strong hai. Hum johri taqat hain. Kisi ki majaal nahi kay ap hamaray sath kuch karsaken. Challenge karta hun main.Kuch karkay dekhao dekhtay hain!”
It is clearly visible for all to see that the armed forces of Pakistan and Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf are the ones who openly and strongly condemn and respond to India when they give anti-Pakistan statements ranging from their Prime Minister to a minor servant! Pakistani politicians seem to fail at responding to Modi in a a befitting manner as for them their personal interests are more important than Pakistan’s interest.
The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, a project that was first put on the table by Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf is like a bone in the neck of India. In his visit to China last month, Modi opposed CPEC strongly to which Gen. (R) Pervez Musharraf replied bluntly and boldly (best understood in Urdu so I will write in Roman Urdu):
“ Un (Modi) ko kehna chayay band karo baat karna Pakistan kay upar. Hamara China kay sath jo kuch horaha hai tum kidhar say bol rahay ho bhai! Who the Hell are you? App apnay comments apnay paas rakhen. We don’t care about your comments!!!”
