Fashion at IIFA Awards 2013
One of the most awaited award shows, the 13th IIFA Awards took place in Macau last weekend. As always, IIFA was attended by the stars of Bollywood. Now that the show is over, we get you the actresses that graced IIFA’s green carpet. While many of them looked stunning, there were a few that failed to impress. The best dressed ones are:
All three were seen in gowns. Sridevi choose to wear a strapless embellished gown while Deepika Padukone was seen in a Naeem Khan gown and Anushka was seen in a Roberto Cavalli gown which gave a softer feel to Anushka’s character. Sridevi and Anushka looked stunning while Deepika had a slit with too many prints and embellishments happening in her gown still appealing to the eyes.
Black was the color of the evening. Vidya, Parineeti Madhuri and Sophie were among many other who wore black. While Vidya and Madhuri went in for the traditional look wearing Anand Kabra and Jade respectively, Parineeti wore a belted black Nikhil Thampi gown. Vidya looked puffy in the saari while the 46 year old star looked astonishing in it. Parineeti had the Romans look on where the belt and golden bracelet spoke for it and the slit in the dress made it more relatable to the ancient Era. Sophie wore a Raakesh Agarvwal gown with golden laces but the cutline were so creative.
These three picked subtle colors. Jacqueline wore a strapless Roberto Cavalli gown which was just out of this world. The tapered look and the flair in the hemline looked just so beautiful. Neha wore a full length embroidered jacket by Anamika Khanna and Dia was seen in an Ayesha Depala gown. The net is Dia’s dress was used in an innovative way. Subtle colors are not meant for evening wears but still they nailed it.
Yami was seen in a strapless green Swapnil Shinde gown while Huma wore a black belted Nikhil Thampi gown with long sleeves and cut to give a different shape to it. Huma refuses to become zero size but still knows how to carry herself. Minisha wore an Ayesha Depala gown with texturing all over the dress which gave it to very royal look. While Lisa Haydon wore a gown designed by Namrata Joshipura with a long slit and appliqué along with sequence work on it which is also a part of the trend.
Belts, strapless dresses and many other articles seemed to be trendy on the Green Carpet of IIFA awards 2013 which can be the new statement.
