Mystery behind the Property of Sharif Brothers
Nawaz Sharif and his friends have been always attempting to loot Pakistan’s riches as their only agenda. The ownership for Raiwind palace is still a mystery, because it has never been specified in the assets and liabilities statements of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and other fellows of his family. This sounds funny, but there is no owner of this amazing palace, spread over a thousands of acres of land.
Even the most recent declarations put by Nawaz Sharif, his little brother Shahbaz Sharif, his nephew Hamza Shahbaz and his Son in-law Captain Mohammad Safdar to the Election Commission of Pakistan are quiet on the ownership of this tremendous property. However, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed told media that the property was owned by Shamim Sharif, who was the mother of Mian brothers. The assets statements also reveal that both the Sharif brothers used to live in houses that are not possessed by them.
One more difference is that Shahbaz Sharif has two assets in the UK, however Nawaz Sharif has no asset overseas. A year ago, at the time of elections in May, Mian Shahbaz was much wealthier than Nawaz — but none of them was a billionaire — yet things have changed now. As per the recent declaration, the estimation of Nawaz Sharif’s assets has registered a six-fold increment in only 12 months to make him billionaire for the first time.
Nawaz Sharif lives in a house that is in the ownership of his mother, while Shahbaz Sharif lives in a house possessed by his wife Nusrat. Both use luxurious Land Cruisers, gifted to them by some unspecified persons. Both have various local and foreign currency accounts, own massive rural land and have interests in industrial units like textile, sugar and paper factories. The most evident difference is the quick rise in the value of assets possessed by the big brother and persistent decline in the estimation of assets possessed by the younger brother.
The younger brother has not revealed the worth of five assets with an area of about 676 kanal in Lahore which was all gifted by his mother. He has Rs. 7.27m in his personal bank account and Rs. 51.96m cash in hand within the country. Mrs Nusrat Shahbaz, the first wife of Mr Shahbaz Sharif, had properties worth Rs273.46m last year, on June 30. It was estimated Rs224.56m a year before. She has Rs1.95m in her five bank accounts and Rs14.34m cash in hand.
The assets of Mrs Tehmina Shahbaz, the second wife of Mian Shahbaz Sharif, are worth of Rs. 9.83million. They were estimated Rs. 7.64m a year ago. She also has five bank accounts – two in Pak rupees, one in dollar and two in Pound Sterling, but the fun side is that the cash available in these accounts is just Rs23, 770 in all these accounts. She has prize bonds and cash in hand with worth of Rs. 750,000 approximately along with two cars. Kalsoom Nawaz, the wife of Nawaz Sharif, has total wealth of Rs. 235.85million only, which is far less than of Mrs Nusrat Shahbaz, the wife of Shahbaz Sharif.
As per the assets and liabilities statements, the total worth of Nawaz Sharif’s assets was Rs261.6 million in 2012 and of Shahbaz Sharif Rs336.9m. In 2011, the assets of these two brothers were worth Rs166m and Rs393m, showing a raise of Rs95.6m and decrease of Rs56.5m, individually. In 2013, the worth of assets of Nawaz Sharif ballooned to Rs1.82bn, while that of Shahbaz Sharif slipped further to Rs142m. By the way, Shahbaz Sharif has more stakes abroad than in the nation. He claims properties and bank accounts worth Rs138.28m in the UK. He has three loans worth 117.10m in Pakistani rupees in British banks.
Mrs Kalsoom Nawaz, wife of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has a house and land in Changa Gali, Abbottabad, with net worth Rs. 63.75million, 88 kanal of area in Sheikhupura worth Rs70m, a cottage on Mall Road in Murree, jewellery worth Rs. 100million, of Rs. 1.5million and huge share in the family business. She has Rs. 67,555 cash in hand and Rs 55,765 in banks. Hamza Shahbaz, the son of Mian Shahbaz Sharif is wealthier than his father, with the net wealth of around Rs. 250.46million. He has two wives. The total wealth of his first wife is estimated Rs. 2.45million and that of the second is estimated to be of Rs. 9.88million. Capt. Safdar’s assets is worth Rs. 14.23million. He claims a car which his wife Mariam got as a gift from the UAE. The whole family has some mysterious logic behind their assets and they feel no shame in telling lie to general public.
