Babar Azam- the rising star

Mohammad Babar Azam was born on  October 15, 1994 at Lahore.

Babar plays in all the three formats of cricket T20, ODI and Test and is famous for his batting style and temperament.

The first record which Babar holds is the leading 1000 runs by any batsman in an ODI format, he also holds the record for scoring the most runs after first 18 and 25 ODI innings respectively by any batsman.

He is also the fastest batsman to score 7 centuries in ODI’s and he holds this record on 33 ODI against Sri Lanka. If we look towards ICC rankings so he ranked 4 in ODI and 9 in T20.

We can also say that Babar Azam was born to be a cricketer.

Few know that Babar Azam earned fame as a U19 cricket format when he was the captain of Pakistan cricket team.

Pakistan was not able to win that world cup but it was remarked that on international level this lad will perform on a high peak.

Recently Babar made an impressive record of fastest 100 in T10 cricket by hitting a ton in 26 balls.

The class of this young guy was notified in his debut ODI where he scored a 50 against Zimbabwe in 2015.

Babar was then selected for test and ODI squad. In both the formats Babar performed very confidently.

As his classy innings were demanding to score a century, he scored 3 consecutive centuries against West Indies in 2016. He became the third batsman to score a 350+ runs in a three match series.

The form of Babar asked the selectors to gave him a chance in test format, he debut his first test match against West Indies in 2016 where he scored 69 in first innings and became the first player to score a fifty on hi test debut through a day/night test.

His form allowed him to perform against Sri Lanka where he scored two consecutive 100’s and he became the first player to score 7 hundreds in any particular country.

His  T20 debut was against England in 2016 where he scored unbeaten 15 runs and Pakistan won the match.

He also played the ICC champions trophy 2017 which was won by Pakistan.

As we look towards 2017,  Babar was the leading run scorer for Pakistan during the year both ODI and T20 formats with 872 and 352 respectively.

Babar played the second Pakistan Super League season from Karachi Kings franchise  where he performed in his aggressive and classy style, scoring 291 runs with the average of 32.33 and finishing the tournament as the second highest run scorer behind his cousin Kamran Akmal.

He is retained for the third season of PSL by Karachi Kings in  diamond category.

Cricket runs in the blood of this young guy. Despite of all the futureof this young guy isvery bright as he holds the top order batsman.

Few more big innings are due on Babar as he shown his performance in recent two years.
