Diminshing Terrorism
A few months back, bombing, terrorists attack and other splash of insecurities jolted Pakistan. We have FIA building in Lahore, Qisa Khuwani Bazaar in Peshawar attacked multiple times. Streets and walls of these hit areas are a witness to bloodshed and chaos these places have faced. Pakistan has been fighting the terrorism for more than a decade now. Fragmented bodies, floors covered with blood, broken walls and tarnished buildings are the proof of losses we have faced in this war.
It was every other day, when we heard about killing through bombings. It was every other moment, when we saw red tickers breaking sad news. Where it added to the insecurities of people, it also made air smell like gunpowder and blood. This devastation limited the movement and freedom of people. Up till now, more than 50, 000 people have given their lives and clusters of resources and infrastructure has been destroyed. Those killed included civilians and military deaths.
If civilians were targeted in urban areas, military and LEA’s were targeted in terrorism hit areas mostly in encounters and operations. Being protectors of society, terrorists targeted defense institutions at most. Terrorists at one stage openly challenged the writ of state by killing and disrupting openly in streets, national places and markets. Terrorists did demean the state writ and established their hotspots at a quick pace, which forces did target one by one. Pak Army conducted Operations in Swat and South Waziristan. Meanwhile, LEA’s also kept operating in main land in order to curb their workout plans.
But recently, an obvious decrease has been observed in the terrorist activities across the country, which speculates the result of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. NWA was the last yet powerful hub of militants which was recently targeted by the Pak Army, targeted the centers of militancy. With developments, forces recovered cache of cash, ammunitions, IED and infrastructure. This simply depicted the hard core yet negative aims of terrorists and strength to crush Pakistan. What is analyzed, Terrorism has almost come 75% down the graph.
We cannot negate that Terrorism are not on back foot but we have got an edge. Those areas cleared must remain in peace and harmony. Enough has been beared by the people of those areas and enough has been sacrificed because a bunch of irrational minds. They could energize themselves and they have safe heavens in our near neighbors and we have to defeat them in any way. This little step of success will become a milestone in future if we continue our progress positively.
To be honest, Pakistan has suffered a lot in this fight; our military men have sacrificed their lives to ensure the security of this land. I believe no matter what happen at policing level but I believe that those who are fighting at borders, the real hardcore are the one who seriously care for this land. This decrease is an achievement but we have to culminate this menace from its roots. We already have enough seeds of hatred sown in Karachi and Balochistan on the name of nationalism. Time is to say Good bye to terrorism, throwing it down a deep grave and burying it for final.
