Family bonding: An element missing from our society

“You can choose your friends but not your family”. God chooses family and He knows who is best for us.

Families once used to give up on everything just to be with one another. Nowadays, being with your family has become a liability not only on children but also on parents. During our school days we were taught a very famous saying “Families that eat together stays together” which was implemented and the whole family gathered on the dinner table every night, sharing their activities and what made them happy and how did the school, work, office go. Everyone shared how he or she felt on different topics discussed. They enjoyed the 1 or 2 hour time together that made them close.

Nowadays, family bonding is missing. Families are no fonder of eating together. They find spending time with family as an obligation which needs to be done by every member. If they have to spend time together, they use their phones, gadgets and other accessories, which obviously distracts other members who are willing to share something important or worth telling.

Children brought up under the supervision of their grandparents are more loving, caring and secured as compare to others.
