Since Pakistan came into being we have been listening too many stories from the Pakistanis living within and abroad that there is nothing in Pakistan. I always disagree to them because i believe that when there is a will there is a way. That’s what I was taught in my school and university by my teachers. Almost all of my friends left Pakistan and moved to abroad and as a result of that they became rich due to the strong economies of other countries but the main thing that they lost was the self-respect. I prefer to be the first class citizen of a developing country instead of being called as a 3rd class citizen of a developed country, for me Pakistan is everything. There are many people who made world records while living in Pakistan the common examples are Wasim Akram, Nusrat Fateh Ali khan, Jansher khan, Jehangir khan, Ali Moeen Nawazish. All of the preferred to live in Pakistan to serve their mother land.
Those who run away from their motherland by saying there is nothing here are non-other than fools. We have everything, starting from Khyber to Karachi, Gilgit to Gawadar we have all the resources that a country needs. We need to realize that we have to change ourselves, every country has problems and nobody runs away from that and other countries faced them and tried to bring their country out of problems that’s why they are successful. We have to face our problems as well to take our country out of that. Being a nation we have to decide either to work for our country or not. If we decide that we have to change our selves and all of our country men think same then no one in world can stop the change in our country and our country will rise in the world. Everybody in world says that Pakistanis are the most talented people in the world and they are working in the leading institutions and companies, why can’t they work here in serve the motherland.
While living abroad I realized only one thing the money cannot buy you happiness that u get while living among your own people in the country u are from that’s a natural phenomenon and nobody has a control over it. There are several people running several organizations which are busy to bring some positive change in our country through their work. Edhi Foundation is one of them, when Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi started his work from Karachi he faced so many problems but he stood firm to serve humanity and now when he has enjoyed almost 65 years of his life everybody gives him respect because of his work. Ansar burney who is fighting against injustices, cruel inhuman and degrading treatment, child abuse, cruelty to women and other more subtle forms of human and civil rights violations. Our country has a unique identification among the Islamic countries in world and we must be proud of it. We are the only Islamic nuclear state in the world and we must be proud of it.
