The Student life in UK
There are hundreds and thousands of Pakistani students who travel abroad each year in order to attain higher education. Countries which have large Pakistani international student populations include those in Europe, North America, China and Australasia. Every year, nearly 10,000 foreign student visas are granted in Pakistan.
According to various reports, there are nearly 10,000 Pakistani students studying in the United Kingdom. All in all, between 2004 and 2008, as many as 42,000 Pakistani students were admitted into the UK.
Sheffield University reports indicate that international students have made net contribution only in Sheffield’s GDP of £ 120.30 millions. At wider regional level, this figure rises to £136.8 million.
Britain has history to keep highly professional skill workers and students who do Masters and PhD in country. They are all eligible for Tier 2 visa which also called professional skilled worker visa.
The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has registered 6829765 professional, skilled and semi-skilled workers of various cadres for overseas employment from 1971 to July last year.
BEOE, an attached department of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, registered 3217611 workers from Punjab, 546912 from Sindh, 1646973 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwan, 77007 from Balochistan, 412940 from Azad Kashmir, 6648 from Northern Areas and 313581 from tribal areas.
While on the other hand there are a lot of bogus and fake students who just take entry into United Kingdom for seeking employment. They take admission in those colleges who offer the cheap fees programs. In fact colleges also aware from the students purpose of coming in UK.
The National Minimum Wage rate per hour In UK is £6.31. After 2011 all the students in level 5 or lower are not allowed to work. Students who are not allowed to work they do jobs on cash which is highly risky because it is illegal and maximum they can earn £2.50 per hour which is shameful.
There are in thousands people from Pakistan who are overstayed in UK they did not return back to Pakistan when their valid Visas was expired. They supposed to go back.
The effect of this is really terrible for those who want to come in UK genuinely for studying or visit. UK border agency has made the strict laws of immigration for Pakistani nationals due to our own stupid activities. The value and reputation of green passport has fall down.
There is no job available for their own nationals in UK because mostly small business holders employee prefer to hire employers at cash and lowest wages.Uk is becoming over crowded. Government is trying to cut down migration.
Butt all and all it is true that is all happening due to present circumstances of Pakistan and due to not having confidence on our own country and self.
